Ryobi JobPlus: A Multi Tool For Your Home Or Business
The Ryobi brand name was originally created in Japan in 1891. The company started out with just a single product, but over time it evolved into a full line of tools and equipment. Today, the Ryobi brand includes many different products including multi-tools, power drills, cordless power tools and much more.
In addition to its numerous multi-tool lines, Ryobi offers a variety of other home and business products such as flooring cleaners, window cleaning products, dusters and more. The company’s main focus is still on their multi-tools which are sold under various brands. They have been known to sell well even when they don’t offer any new models or upgrades.
One of the most popular Ryobi products is its bike-related accessories. These include racks, lights, baskets and more. Some of these items are very useful while others aren’t so great for your bicycle. There are some good options available from Ryobi that will make your ride safer and easier.
One of those options is the Ryobi Bike Rack Kit.
Ryobi JobPlus Multi Tool Review
I recently purchased my first Ryobi multi-tool. I’ve always had a love for all things mechanical and have owned several tools throughout my life. However, I never really bought into the whole multi-tool craze until I discovered Ryobi’s line of multi-tools. When I found out that they were offering a similar model called the JobPlus, I knew that this would be the perfect purchase for me!
This bundle contains a hitch-mounted rack that will allow you to transport your bikes. It has an adjustable arm that can fit up to four bikes and the rack also folds down when not in use. The kit includes locks as well to keep your bikes safe and secure while they are mounted on the car.
Ryobi 18V One+ System
The Ryobi 18V One+ system is a combination of numerous tools that all operate on the same battery style.
The Ryobi JobPlus is a 20V Max tool that comes with an amazing list of attachments. These attachments make this a very versatile tool and they also make it ideal for the jobsite or even around the home!
This cordless tool comes with a reciprocating saw, a sander, a drill, a light and a 3-in-1 screwdriver. The last one is pretty handy for smaller projects that don’t require much power. This means that all of the tools can be interchanged. There are numerous different tools that can be used for just about any project around your home or business.
The one issue I have had with this system is that some of the larger tools don’t last as long as I thought they would. For the price, one would expect them to last much longer than they do.
The batteries that come with this attachment are the same batteries you can use with other One+ tools. This means that if you already have other Ryobi tools you won’t need to buy any more batteries to make this work. The batteries charge in just 30 minutes and the kit comes with two of them.
The sander is a nice touch since it operates both forward and backward.
The cordless tools can be recharged in as little as 30 minutes and some of them can even be used while they are charging. One of the great things about this system is that all of the batteries are interchangeable so you only need to purchase the bare minimum of one style of battery. You can also purchase an extended life battery that will last for an extended period of time.
This tool costs around $130 which some people might find to be a bit overpriced. This is helpful when sanding longer pieces of wood or other materials because you won’t have to constantly adjust the tool.
The reciprocating saw is a nice feature and comes in very handy during certain jobs around the home. I like how this one can be adjusted to several different angles as well.
The drill is good for driving in screws or larger bolts. It isn’t very heavy duty so don’t try to use it for drilling concrete or bricks! However, it is a great tool for quick jobs around the house or on the job site.
Long story short, this is an excellent tool for someone who is looking for versatility.
As a starting point, I would advise anyone interested in this product to buy the kit that contains the drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, two batteries and a charger. You can then add to your collection of power tools as you find more uses for them.
